Even though we are only in the second week of 2017, January
is the perfect time to strike the right balance for the rest of the year. The old adage, “There’s no time like the
present,” is doubly important when it comes to creating a health regimen that
works. While achieving optimal health
might be your ultimate goal, to succeed you need to take into consideration a
number of different aspects of your lifestyle.
The Classic Car Syndrome

Just as a car has many different systems, so does the human
body. I have been a classic car buff for
most of my life. Simply because a car is
20, 30 or 40 years old, doesn’t mean it can’t be in as good a condition as the
day it rolled off the assembly line. The
difference between a honey and a heap pretty much comes down to
maintenance. The more tender loving care
an owner lavishes on a vehicle, the longer it will last.
Just as an automobile can wind up with a dent, so too can
the human body. If you have been
experiencing chronic pain of any kind, this has the potential to derail your
long-term health plan before it even gets started. While you may want to go to the gym, what’s
the likelihood of following through if you find it hard to get out of bed? So, the first thing you are going to need to
do is to relieve any discomfort before you can realistically move forward.
If you’re in pain, chiropractic is a great first step toward
achieving your health goals. Something
as simple as a spinal adjustment can make a world of difference in how your
body both feels and functions. Just as a
car will not drive straight if it’s front end is misaligned, from a health
perspective, having a properly aligned spine will not only eliminate pain, it
can also jumpstart your immune system by up to 200%. Think of the difference this could mean to
your well-being during flu and cold season.

Many people tend to sign up with health clubs this time of
the year. While going to a gym is a great
way to increase muscle tone, if your spine is not properly aligned, it can lead
to soreness or even injury. Chiropractic
can make sure your movement patterns are correct, so when you exercise, your
body will not overstress any of your muscles, ligaments or tendons. Instead of “No Pain, No Gain,” your mantra
should be, “No Pain, My Gain.”
Adding Fuel to the Fire
Just as a car needs the correct octane to run properly, so
too does your body need to have the right kind of diet to stay healthy. Particularly if you are looking to lose
weight in 2017, diet is the key. By
diet, I am not talking about going on a starvation diet. I’m talking about determining what foods
cause your body to start fat burning and which cause you to stop burning
fat. More importantly, you don’t want to
fall into the pitfall of starting a diet plan that doesn’t show you how to keep
the weight off. That’s even more
important than shedding the pounds.
Our NutriMost program is a lot different than other diet
plans you may have tried in the past. To
start off with, we aren’t going to tell you to stop eating to lose weight. That kind of thinking literally adds fuel to
the fire, since it tells your body to go into famine mode. Over the millennia, humans were conditioned
to endure seasons of feast and famine.
That means when you radically restrict food intake; your body slows your
metabolism to compensate. If you have
ever lost weight on a diet that had you reduce your caloric intake, only to put
the weight back on, this is exactly what I mean.
NutriMost doesn’t work that way. Instead of restricting the amount of food you
eat, we test your body to determine the kind of food that causes you to burn
and store fat. This is different for
every individual. We will also support
you during the entire process of fat burn.
When you’re going through the fat burn phase of a weight loss program,
you’re going to need to add nutritional supplements to compensate for the
nutrients lost when you shun certain kinds of food. This is a very important part of the program.
Another unique part of the Nutrimost program is that it
involves several phases. The reason this
is important is because we will help you reprogram your body so that once
you’re done burning fat, you don’t wind up putting the weight back on
again. 95% of our patients who lose
20-40 pounds in 40 days, keep the weight off.
(Feel free to go to our website to check out many testimonial videos
from individuals and couples who have gone through the Nutrimost program.)
In the end, we are going to take you through a process
called “Re-entry” that will teach you about how your body works. This means there will be no doubt about
trigger foods that can shut down your body’s ability to metabolize fat. I want to emphasize that NutriMost is not
simply a way to lose weight. It is a
complete transformation of how your body functions and what you need to do to
keep it in top form.
Diagnostic Testing
Unlike a car, spare parts for the human body are hard to
come by. That’s why we offer a number of
non-obtrusive tests that can help you determine what is going on inside. If you have been feeling run down, or have
been experiencing any kind of ache or pain, we can help you pinpoint and solve
the problem.

When it comes to classic cars there are only two types: honeys and heaps. The difference is the amount of TLC shown by its owners. The same goes for the human body. As it ages it requires more maintenance if it is to continue looking and running well.
